ANNUAL SCOUT & GUIDE FETE
6th July 2024
6th July 2024
The first scout fete was held at Romilly Park, in 1933, when it was called a Kymspaumi. It was resurrected after the Second World War, when the groups needed funds. It costs more than £120,000 a year to run the local scouting and girlguiding groups and the fete is a major source of the income.
This year thousands of people are expected to descend on the park for a family day-out.
Entry to the fete is by a programme costing £2 which includes a free lucky prize draw or £3 on the gate on the day.
The draw takes place before the fete closes at 5pm.
All proceeds of the fete go to support the two movements deliver fun filled activities for thousands of boys and girls within the district.
Advertising space is available in our programme from as little as £40 for 1/4 page.
Each year we print 10,000 A5 sized colour booklets which are then sold around the district by the groups and on the day of the Fete. These are used to gain entrance to the park.
Please contact us if you wish to advertise in the programme.
We’re able to offer local community organisations and voluntary groups a space for a stall at the fete for a small charge. This is subject to meeting requirements set out by the Fete committee. For further information about having a stall please contact us.
The Fete costs over £10,000 to stage each year and we welcome any support. If you would you like to sponsor the fete, become a patron or supply a raffle prize please contact us.
