Validation
You then need to validate your learning:
The adult personal file contains further information :
Module 1 is page 25
and Module 3 is page 31
GDPR involves a chat to check your understanding.
Have a chat with the Leader of the Section you are working with, they will have done this already themselves.
From experience we have found that the most common methods of validation for those working within a Section:
1. Run an evening’s (or part) session, including a ceremony, a game and an activity (you don’t need to be the only one working with the young people, but you need to plan and direct). You will need a ‘witness testimony’ from your Section leader that this has happened and a Risk Assessment for the games and activities
2. Run a ‘code of conduct’ session with your Section. You will need your plan for this, plus the actual code of conduct that they produced.
3. We will also need to discuss the ‘check your knowledge’ sections of both Modules.
Attending any training
Once complete please book to attend a validation session or if you would like to find out about any other training that is happening across the scouting area please click on the Area booking tool:
There are sessions run regularly in Tir a Môr District, so easiest to select one of those.
Module 1 and 3 training should be completed within 5 months of attending Appointments Panel.
